Project 365, days 218-224

218—getting ice cream in town; 219—dinner over an open fire on our first ever family camping trip; 220—waking up in a tent is cool; 221—an orange butterfly (not a painted lady, anyone know what this is?) on our yellow zinnia; 222, 223, 224—rearing the three black swallowtail caterpillars we found on our parsley! What a learning opportunity.

Project 365, days 197-203

197. A lesson on Raptors at the library that was intended for older children but had Calvin's full and undivided attention for the whole hour anyhow.
198. Our new 1960s rotary phone for $5 from the best garage sale ever (wait until we share our 1950s magazine scores!). The best part? It really works.
199. The upstairs hall has a duck in it.
200. Of his own making at the annual pre-Art Fair Townie Party.
201. The new garden path it took us all day to put in on Sunday.
202. A2 Art Fairs, from our visit on opening day.
203. Our new awesome shelf made for us by a talented woodworker as a gift from my Godmother. Our redecorating is really starting to take shape.

Project 365, days 190-196

Enjoying a Jag Friday night at the Rolling Sculpture Auto Show in Ann Arbor; on catching a fish, his first time ever, at a backyard wedding; pulling over to watch them mow the wheat fields we often pass when we drive into Ann Arbor; a family of swans that waddled through our yard of all places; finding puddles after a day of rains; look closely and you'll see a hummingbird visiting the bee balm in our butterfly garden; the good looking eggplant growing right in our own veggie garden.

Project 365, days 183-189

A holiday week! A crazy drum circle at the end of the year picnic for music class, a 3rd of July party at our house, water play with Gram, great lunch at Arbor Brewing Company, cooling off at Independence Lake, great dinner at The Jolly Pumpkin, and everything is coming up roses.
